Summertime

"Summertime and the livin' is easy..."

The hot weather is here and we are taking full advantage.  Our favorite swimming hole has provided hours and hours of fun.  The baseball games at night are a little less comfortable to play (and to watch) but it is a trade-off we are willing to make.  Yay for summer!

I have taken so many pics that sum up summer to me and I decided to post them all in one post (minus the pics that have already made it into previous posts). Hang on to your hats!

So many water pictures but it has reached 100 degrees here (with LOTS of humidity) for the last three days so we've been hanging in the water.  Personally, I like the hot weather.  Certainly makes for a fun summer.

Yes, no matter how hot and humid, it's still better than snow and ice! I love all your pics!

Right this week you must go online and get Shutterfly, Phanfare or some other photo printing company to print a book for you on your summer. This is the only surefire way to make sure the photos do not get lost or disappear. You can put the book together and add whatever text you want, but these are terrific story photos and you must save them!

Tabor- I actually still print out all of my photos and then put them in albums with little captions and the date underneath them. I am meticulous about my pictures. AND, I am in the process of turning my blog into books. It is time consuming so I only have two done so far but I know I will appreciate it someday. :)

LOVE them:) Esp. of Grace going through the sprinkler and of the baby birds....amazing shot! And the bald eagle. I know they are around but I've never seen one along the shore. Glad you are having fun and are finding ways to enjoy the hot weather! Happy Summer:)

Wonderful photos, Kat. I especially love the one of Grace standing on the shore holding her hand out. It's perfect!

I've been trying to catch up (not all that successfully), and I'm sorry to hear that your mother has gone through some painful difficulties. I'll keep her, you and yours in my best thoughts. Hugs to you.

Most of these could be a commercial for "America, the Summer Days." So cute!! All of them!!!

The sprinkler one is the definition of summer as a kid for me. We spent SO MANY hours in the sprinkler in the yard.

I am keeping a shortcut to this page so that I can look it up when I need a smile fix. Blessings, and I appreciate your gift.

so many great shots and lots of fun in them but the baby bird picture totally impresses me.

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
