Third Times The Charm?

The open house went really well last night. Don't they all? Everyone seems to be in love with our house, and yet we still haven't gotten an offer. I guess that is the problem with most first time home buyers. They just want to keep looking and looking, just in case.

The couple had actually already been to see our house when we had the open house two weeks ago. This time they brought their realtor and their parents with them. They seemed to really like the house but said that they were going to see a few more houses last night as well.

This morning I got a call from their realtor who told me that they really love the house and are very excited about it and will probably be coming to our open house on Sunday. Huh? So glad I did all that extra cleaning yesterday. Ah well. I guess the only thing they had reservations about was the one car garage. We'll see if Sunday's open house makes any difference for them. I bet they'll want to see it a 4th time. ACK!

So, I guess it will be a weekend of more cleaning for me. Woohoo! I hope you all have something more fun than cleaning planned. It is supposed to be a lovely weather weekend. Have a good one! And keep those fingers (and toes) crossed. Hopefully you'll be able to uncross them soon before you develop cramps. ;)

Definitely fingers crossed. Won't all the cleaning be worth it when it sells? Well, maybe. :-) I hope they decide to just go for it, SOON.

The wonderful thing about sunny weather is that every house seems more homey in the sunshine. Just open those windows wide (but wash off the PB&J fingerprints first!) and let the breeze and sunshine do your selling for you.

Here's a hint: get some fresh flowers for your dining room table and a bowl of green apples and lemons in the kitchen. They *love* that stuff.

Fingers crossed, Kat.

Oh, I sure hope the third time's the charm! We looked at our house twice (and not even together) before we made an offer and we were first time buyers. Here's hoping they've finally made up their minds!

Julia- Oh yeah. We are on top of all of that. We have fresh flowers and fruit for every open house. And cinnamon/vanilla candles going. The realtors always ask us if we've had the house professionally staged. HA! Nope. We just watch a lot of HGTV. ;)

Hey there. This sounds like a bunch of yaya to me but I do know what it feels like to buy our first home. I know we had found one we liked but backed out of but finally found one we could live with. the first house we backed out of didnt have much of a yard for the girls. that was my one stipulation of moving into a house compared to renting.

Well maybe the more they see the house the more they will fall in love with it :) Good luck with everything!

Just make the garage looking super inviting. Clean and organized and make it smell like fresh baked cookies (I read somewhere that cookies sell houses...why not garages???).

Aw man!
I'm sorry! I hope they go ahead and make an offer!

your house is so cute, it's a sign of the times it has taken so long to sell it. Is the other place still available?

invite a bunch of your friends to come to the open house and pretend to be REALLY interested, too, so that these people get off their lazy butts and put in an offer!!!

I hope you get a good offer soon!

Boo to more cleaning. I really hope the couple goes for it and quits showing up just to think about it some more. Good luck! Fingers, eyes and toes crossed.

This process is so TAXING!

Keeping fingers crossed that you get some really, really good news soon--hopefully news that involves dollar signs and a signed contract.

:)

Selling a house is so stressful! I hated going through that! I hope that they make a decision ASAP and that they decided on your house!! Keeping everything crossed...

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
